Geocaching 101
Are you ready to seek hidden treasure? Got a GPS and would like to learn how to have fun using it? This class is for outdoor enthusiasts interested in learning about Geocaching, the relatively new high tech adventure game that has gained tremendous popularity worldwide.
For those unfamiliar with Geocaching, it is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a geocache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a GPS unit. This clinic will cover the basics of Geocaching such as how to find a hidden cache, hiding a cache, and other fundamentals of playing the game.
While basic knowledge of the use of a GPS will be helpful it is not required. All those with a thirst for adventure and fun are invited to attend!

January 23rd, 11am - 2pm
Where:
We'll start at CenterPlace Room 111 for an hour of instruction, and then walk over to Mirabeau Park to go geocaching to put our eduction in practice!

What to bring:
- Sense of adventure
- GPS (and batteries) if you have one
- Hiking clothes -plan for the weather!
- Comfortable shoes -plan for a 2-3 mile geocaching adventure
- Water and snacks for the trail
- Pen or pencil
