We recently asked: What is the coolest thing you've ever found in a cache?

When I am teaching a geocaching 101 or just explaining what geocaching is, this is a common question that I get. For me the swag isn’t that important so I always have a hard time answering this! I’m a little more into the journey and achievement of each cache. But finding something cool is always nice! So here’s what we heard:

  • Alicia on FB shared: I've found some cool, sometimes valuable stuff on rare occasions, but oddly enough my most prized piece of swag I took was a painted rock. I just really cherish it for some reason!
  • Shawn shared: A voucher from the CO for a bottle of Templeton rye whiskey as a ftf prize. Wow!
  • Cleve shared: Probably my first TB. I was like wow this is a Kool idea.
  • Mike shared: I get excited when I find a fifteen year old logbook. No kidding –those oldie logbooks are awesome to read!

As always, we really enjoyed hearing about the coolest finds in caches. You can to, if you-
