| Cache Advance is an outdoor gear company
specializing in
Geocaching Repair Kits,
Newbie Kits and other caching
gear/items such as camouflage
paint and
tape, and
Official
Geocaching gear,
sneaky caches,
gear for your geo-dog and more!
We are fully licensed by Groundspeak,
and authorized dealers for Bison Designs, Rite in the
Rain, Lock and Lock, Penguin Books and Hunter's
Specialties.
All of our products are the of the
highest quality that we can find -nothing but the best
for our customers! All of our Dr. B's products, and many
more are designed and assembled right here.
At
left is one afternoon's work of camo-ing up some Lock and Locks
with our special Cache Advance Camouflage method.
We have done extensive research and field testing of all
products, and we are confident of the quality of all
parts.
Currently,
my Cache Repair Kits are unique. There are,
according to
Geocaching.com,
479,630 active caches worldwide (November 2007) listed on their site
alone. Most of these Geocaches are subject to the elements, and
not all weather them well. Dr. B's Cache Repair Kit is all a
cacher will need to make most field repairs, enabling then to be
FTF (First To Fix) on an older cache!
We hope you
enjoy your caching accessories as much as we do.

History |
| Cache
Advance is owned and operated by Lisa B., also known as
Lookout Lisa. I've been geocaching for
about 6 years, with
over 30 hides and now
well over 1600 finds.
I created and designed Dr. B's Cache Repair
Kits in 2005 as a fun project to fill up my spare time (when I'm not out
caching!) and to help promote responsible caching. I had so much
fun with the Repair Kits, that I have designed Dr. B's Newbie
Kits, and Dr. B's Canine Repair Kits too!
And that is just the beginning... |
In
a round about way, my dad (yes, the real Dr B.) was
the catalyst for me to start geocaching. My brother and sister
and I bought dad a GPS unit years ago so he could better
navigate the Palouse Hills here in Washington State while out
hunting and hiking. Together my dad and I learned how to use it,
and when I later heard about geocaching, I knew this was a sport
for me!
My dad and I now have a tradition of caching together every
Father's Day, and it's still a race to the find even though he's
over 75 now!! For 2007 Dad and I participated in the
Project Breakfast Meet and Greet, and then we did the
Ape Cache! It was raining so
much I didn't take out my camera that day.
At left Dad
and I are pictured atop
Mt Chewelah, also known as 49° North
Ski
Resort, on Father's Day 2006. We are also season pass
holders at the resort, and you should see my dad rip up the
corduroy in the winter!

Dad and I are pictured at right (with my Border Collie Eve,
rescued from our local pound) on top of
Mt. Kit Carson out caching on Father's Day 2003.
Hmm... maybe it's time to get Dr. B a new caching shirt!

| Our #1 goal is to provide the most
awesome caching gear in the easiest, friendliest and
most responsive manner. We also highly value the environment and strive to
be as environmentally friendly as possible at Cache Advance, and ensure that we always tread lightly!
The Geocacher’s Creed
states “Make minor repairs if you can, it will save the owner a
trip”. We believe that we are promoting responsible caching with
our kits.

| We use both USPS and UPS for all of
our shipping. You can select which carrier and service
at checkout, with all of the prices displayed. We strive
for same-day or next-day shipping for all orders, and
we'll keep you informed when your order goes to packing,
shipping and then when it has shipped. Drop us a note if
you would like any tracking information, and we'll
forward that on.
Here is what our 'order status'
means (our system will send out emails to you as
your order moves through different statuses):
- Authorized –we have your order
information
- In Packing –we are packing your
order
- In Shipping –your order is packed
and waiting to be picked up by the shipper (USPS or
UPS)
- Shipped –your order has shipped
and is on its way!!
We do reserve the right to change your
shipping carrier if we believe that the other can offer
better and/or faster service in a particular instance.
For example, we have on occasion used UPS Ground instead
of USPS Parcel Post, as UPS offers faster arrival times
and tracking services.
Handling Fee: We do charge a $0.75 handling fee on
every order in the US to help cover the costs of our 'Green'
packing materials and time spent carefully packaging
every order. We keep packaging to a minimum and use
environmentally friendly packaging materials whenever
possible.
For orders outside of the US, our
handling fee is $3.00.
Inland Empire Cachers:
if you are in the Spokane area or are passing through
and would like to pick up your order directly, you can
order from our site and select "Will Pickup
$0.00" for your shipping method at checkout and there will be no shipping
charges. Please specify that you would like to pick up your
order and we'll contact you for a convenient time and send you
coordinates...er...our address.
International Cachers:
If during checkout your shipping fees seem excessive (USPS
is often the lowest), please also use the shipping
option "Will Pickup $0.00"
to waive the shipping fee and we will then hand
calculate your shipping fees and invoice you directly
via PayPal. Or just
drop us an email and
we'll let you know how much your order will cost to ship
before you checkout.

Hi
Lisa,
My order arrived safe & sound today. Thanks for
the little ziplocs too, I owe you for those!.
Don't know where you get those little bags but
they sure are nice. I've bought them on eBay a
few times but they're always so thin, these are
heavy-duty.
Thanks again & best wishes!

Hello,
I wanted to thank you again for your donation
for the event I hosted last weekend.
The event was a huge success and your donation
played a part. Last year we had around 75 that
attended the event. This year there were 109+.
The car magnet was a big hit and I have my eyes
on the decal TB for my vehicle.
Thanks again,
D |

Awesome!!!!
Can't wait to clear some stickers off my Xterra
to make room for this very cool sticker. I
wanted to thank you again for making such a
nice-sized and very "cachey" item. ;) Can't
wait to see who "discovers" me from this point
forward!
Take Care and thanks again!

Hi
Lisa!
I received my order today and wanted to thank
you for an awesome product (the vehicle travel
bug decal) and the really fast shipping. I'm
convinced it would have been here yesterday if
it hadn't been Christmas. I have your website in
my favorites and will be sure to check your site
next time I'm looking for a caching product.
Thanks again!
