Lisa B. is the President and CEO (Chief Caching Officer) of Cache Advance. She is also known as Lookout Lisa. Lisa has been geocaching for over 7 years, with over 45 hides and now over 2,500 finds. She is past president (2 years) of the Inland Empire Chapter of the Washington State Geocaching Association (WSGA) and still sits on the chapter board as a Member @ Large for 2010. Lisa created and designed Dr. B's Cache Repair Kits in 2005 as a fun project to fill up her spare time (when she's not out caching!) and to help promote responsible caching. Lisa had so much fun with the Repair Kits, that she designed Dr. B's Newbie Kits, and Dr. B's Canine Repair Kits too! And that is just the beginning...

Cache Advance Today: Cache Advance now carries over 200 outdoor gear products for geocaching and related activities. We are based in Spokane, WA, USA, and ship to locations all over the world -we've shipped to all seven continents! Our 'warehouse' in Spokane has affectionately been named the Cache Cave. We are available for tours/shopping by appointment also. So if you are in Spokane or passing through, contact us and we'd love to have you drop by! Geocaching Events: We have set up booths at and sponsored many geocaching events, including Geowoodstock 6 & 7, and are always on the lookout for events to attend. If you would like us to set up a table/booth at one of your events just drop us a line and we'll see if we can fit it into our schedule. We'll work with you to ensure our presence is just the way you would like it.

Geocaching Education: We also teach geocaching to beginners and K-12 students. We have partnered with the REI in Spokane and Spokane City Parks & Recreation for classes, and also with school districts and teachers to add geocaching activities/instruction to their curriculum.

Who is Dr. B?:

In a round about way, my dad (yes, the real Dr B.) was the catalyst for me to start geocaching. My brother and sister and I bought dad a GPS unit years ago so he could better navigate the Palouse Hills here in Washington State while out hunting and hiking. Together my dad and I learned how to use it, and when I later heard about geocaching, I knew this was a sport for me!

My dad and I now have a tradition of caching together every Father's Day, and it's still a race to the find even though he's over 75 now!! At left Dad and I are pictured atop Mt Chewelah, also known as 49° North Ski Resort, on Father's Day 2006. We are also season pass holders at the resort, and you should see my dad rip up the corduroy in the winter!

For 2007 Dad and I participated in the Project Breakfast Meet and Greet, and then we did the Ape Cache! See right.

Dad and I are pictured at left (with my Border Collie Eve, rescued from our local pound) on top of Mt. Kit Carson out caching on Father's Day 2003. Hmm... maybe it's time to get Dr. B a new caching shirt!

We pride ourselves in speedy yet careful packing and shipping of all orders. We've heard again and again the excited surprise from our customers about how quickly their packages of geocaching goodies have arrived.

We also like to keep you apprised of your order status. Here is what our 'order status' means (our system will send out emails to you as your order moves through different statuses):

• Authorized –we have your order information
• In Packing –we are packing your order
• In Shipping –your order is packed and waiting to be picked up by the shipper (USPS or UPS)
• Shipped –your order has shipped and is on its way!!
• Hold-Backorder -an item in your order is currently out of stock
• In Production -your Special Order is being collected and then will be produced in our next production round
• Waiting -check is in the mail -just that: we are waiting for your payment to arrive and will ship once all is cleared
• Completed -your order is completed and needs no further action from us.

We use both USPS and UPS for all of our shipping. You can select which carrier and service at checkout, with all of the prices displayed. We strive for same-day or next-day shipping for all orders, and we'll keep you informed when your order goes to packing, shipping and then when it has shipped. Drop us a note if you would like any tracking information, and we'll forward that on.

We do reserve the right to change your shipping carrier if we believe that the other can offer better and/or faster service in a particular instance. For example, we have on occasion used UPS Ground instead of USPS Parcel Post, as UPS offers faster arrival times and tracking services.

International Shipments: For all International shipments, Cache Advance will not be held responsible or liable for any problems that result at your local customs office. If customs duties are assessed, these are in addition to your shipping charges and must be paid directly by you. No refunds will be given for items that are seized at your local customs office. Cache Advance will not be held liable for any customs duties or taxes that arise from your local customs office. Cache Advance will also not be held responsible for any additional fee the local carrier in your country may charge.

Please note: We recommend that you choose a shipping method which can be tracked. For non-tracked methods of shipping, Cache Advance will not be responsible for lost shipments.

Handling Fee: We do charge a $0.95 handling fee on every order in the US to help cover the costs of our 'Green' packing materials and time spent carefully packaging every order. We keep packaging to a minimum and use environmentally friendly packaging materials whenever possible.

For orders outside of the US, our handling fee is $3.00.

Caching in Spokane?: if you are in the Spokane area or are passing through and would like to pick up your order directly, you can order from our site and select "Will Pickup $0.00" for your shipping method at checkout and there will be no shipping charges. Please specify that you would like to pick up your order and we'll contact you for a convenient time and send you coordinates...er...our address.
 

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Orders
We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.
